Madden Charities was established in 1988 to support charities and projects that reflect the values of the Madden family. We proudly support numerous organizations in our community. In 2022, the John Madden Foundation was added to Madden Charities to honor John’s legacy. The foundation provides educational opportunities for youth and young adults through scholarships and other educational programs. Today, we operate as a single organization supporting education, health initiatives, and the community.
The mission of Madden Charities is to support causes that the Madden family deems important. In many cases, that means providing financial assistance to youth groups of the Tri-Valley and Northern California. Extensive support has also been provided to medical research in the fields of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
John was passionate about helping underserved youth access education and sports programs. His wife, Virginia, alongside the members of the board, continues this important work. The foundation supports scholarships and opportunities in honor of his legacy.
Your donation to Madden Charities & The John Madden Foundation will support youth primarily in the East Bay through scholarships and athletic programs. It will also help fund health initiatives and medical research.
